Route 101 – San Francisco to Canada ~ Travel

This is the San Francisco to the Canadian border leg of my trip.  The shots of the Golden Gate of course are not on 101.   This covers Northern California, Napa, Oregon and Washington.  This was my first time ever seeing these places.  The coast was so beautiful.  I stayed one night in Oregon in a place where my back sliding door overlooked the ocean.  I just loved the chilly romantic Northern Pacific coast.  Cannon beach was so amazing I have been looking at property there.   I could seriously relocate there and shoot weddings up and down the entire Pacific Coast and the Rockies.  The small brew IPAs and eclectic food is something that was so good I will do that route again, this time on my way back from Canada instead of on the way up.  I drove through this leg of the trip pretty fast, I honestly did not fully anticipate how beautiful it was.  This summer I will do more exploring.  The Ukiah brewing company was a massive highlight.  One of the best beers and stone oven pizzas I have ever had.  The Redwoods of course just blew me away.  I have never seen anything like that before.  It was all most like being in a fantasy land or movie. Such peaceful beautiful giants.  Next post:  Canadian Rockies, Route 99 and the Stewart Highway.
